Beerlao is brewed from the finest Laotian rice, German hops and Australian malt giving it a very unique taste. Beerlao was launched in 1973 and has become the best selling and leading brand in Lao and arguably the best in South East Asia. It has received various awards at tastings in Belgium (Monde Awards) and Russia and competing well in other international competitions. It is voted Asia's Best Beer of 2004 by Time Magazine. Beerlao is one of the most successful exports from Lao and is currently available in 13 countries worldwide.

Lao Brewery Company Limited (L.B.C.)

The Lao Brewery Co. Ltd. was founded in 1973. LBC is now 50% owned by the Government of Laos and Carlsberg Breweries. LBC is the leading brand in beer and beverage products in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. It now has an annual production capacity of 210 million liters for beer and 21 million liters for drinking water.

L.B.C. Brewing

Lao Brewery Company has set its own quality standard for water and all raw materials which are used in production. All imported materials are inspected, examined and compared to the company standard before use.

 

The laboratory has modern and international standard equipment to control the quality of the beer during processing according to EBC (European Brewery Convention) approved methods. The inspecting system at Lao Brewery Company is HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). Beer products are also sent to (CILAS ) Carlsberg Inter Laboratory Analysis Scheme for complete beer analysis.
